Hide Glue Recipes

Unlike many modern glues, hide glue is marvelously malleable. Dry hide glue is identified by gram strength, a comparative number. The higher the number, the taster the glue will set. Grades 135 to 379 are normally used for woodworking; you can modify working qualities by following the recipes below. Mixing ratios are by weight.
