4. Test setup by crosscutting one strip into six pieces and assembling a six-pointed star.
5. Adjust blade angle and fence until pieces fit perfectly, then rip stock for balls.
Ripped strip should be diamond shaped, with two 60° angles and two 120° angles. All four faces should be the same width.
3. Set fence so width of strip IWI equals length of beveled edge IB).
I. Tilt saw blade exactly 60 to tabletop.
Glue up inner star with 60° points facing center, then fit contrasting wood between the points to form a hexagon.
Secure hexagonal "log" with radiator-hose clamps until glue dries.
