I've heard people mention using Scotch glue, but I haven't used it and really don't even know what it is. Do you know what Scotch glue is and where it can be purchased?

Scotch glue is another name for hide glue or animal glue. It's made from animal parts, usually the hides and bones.
Although hide glue is still available, it is not used very often any more since the introduction of the aliphatic resign (yellow glue) and polyvinyl acetate glues (white glue).
Liquid hide glue is aiKiilable as both a liquid and a solid. The liquid form is ready to use from the bottle. The solid fortn must be soaked overnight in water and heated in a glue pot during use.
Both liquid and solid hide glue can be purchased from: Garrett Wade, 161 Ave. of the Americas, New York, New York 10013. (Catalog: $3.00.)
