Shop-Made Guide Blocks

I replaced the metal guide blocks in my bandsaw with blocks made from hard maple. The wood blocks give excellent support to the blade without damaging the teeth. Also, when using narrow blades (V8 in. or less) I can bury the blade within the blocks for better control. When the blocks become worn, they arc easily replaced or trued up on a disc sander.
