Diagonal paneling. With their ends cut at 45°, T&G boards are fit together to fill the frame opening. Diagonal guidelines on the plywood panel in the foreground make it easy to lay out the boards.
Twig infill. Working toward the center from opposite corners, Hanson and Ring cover a plywood panel with tamarisk twigs. After being snipped to length, twig ends are wedged between the panel and the interior molding.
Trimmed out. Ring uses a block plane to touch up a chamfer on the exterior trim.
