With the ease complete, there are only a couple more tilings to take care of and the work will he wrapped up. The next step is to build the two doors. And since the construction for each one is a little different, I'll talk you dirough the process one at a time.

In the drawing at right, you can see that the upper door will house a glass panel that will match die panels you'll install in the sides.

JOINERY. Since a glass panel doesn't add strength to a door, the construction needs to be strong and rigid to make up for it. This makes it a good candidate for mortise and tenon joinery. In detail 'a,' you'll find the dimensions you'll need to complete the joinery.

RABBET. Once the door frame has been glued together, you can then rout a rabbet around the opening to hold the glass panel, as illustrated in detad 'b.'

The glass panels are held in place with some simple stop I made at the table saw and router table. You can see the step-by-step process on page 31.
