We encourage you to write to us with anything you think would be interesting for other woodworkers. It doesn't have to be fancy, just describe your idea or project briefly, and we'll rake it from there. Address your letter to one of the following departments, or simply to Editor.
Workshop Tips Send us your great ideas! We'll pay $100 for each tip that's printed. Enclose a sketch or photo of your tip and make sure your return address is enclosed. Due to the volume of tips we receive, they cannot be returned.
Shop Solutions If your idea is more complex than a tip, send it here. We pay $200 for each solution we publish. Send sketches and photos and make sure to include your return address.
Confiised about a technique? Wondering which tool to buy? Bewildered about what wood to use or where to buy supplies? Write to our Q&A department. Due to the volume of questions, not all can be answered.
Photos of projects may be used in our Gallery department, as part of an article on technique, finishing or materials, or your project may become the basis for a project-building article. We pay $100 for each photo we publish, and more if it becomes a project article. Send transparencies, and include your name, address and phone number, along with all relevant facts about the piece: wood(s), finish, techniques, etc. We will return all materials.
Techniques If you've figured out a good way to build something, let us know. We'll work with you to make it a technique article. Techniques can be simple or difficult, for hand tools or power tools, general-purpose or specialized. Drop us a note about it. Payments start at $500.
