1. Cut the pivot collar. The key component is the short piece of PVC pipe that serves as the pivot collar.The drawings and Cutting List are for a trammel built around I'/^-inch-I.D. pipc.To be honest, the trammel shown in the photos has a 2-inch-I.D. pipe as its collar. Obviously, either size pipe works; but if you do use the larger-diameter pipe, you must adjust the dimensions of all the parts.

Cut the pipe to length, and dean the burrs from the edges. Measure it carefully with calipers, determining both die inside and outside diameters.
