Conservation

What's the best way to conserve wood? Use it.. .creatively. Thaf s the argument being made by a show called "Conservation by Design," now on display at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence. The exhibit features works by more than 70 designers from around the world, all of whom are working toward a common goal of stimulating responsible wood use, said Scott Landis of the Woodworkers Alliance for Rainforest Protection. The show, which runs through January 16, is organized by the alliance and RISD's art museum.
