^ Keith needed a secure cabinet to store his paints, finishes, solvents, and other chemicals and fluids. He found one when his family's upright freezer was damaged during a move. Keith removed the power cord, door light, thermostat control, and two Freon coils. To the originai 18x21" wire shelves, he added plastic bins made by Akro-Mils (800-253-2467, From scrap plywood, Keith cut a bottom and dividers for the freezer's pull-out basket. He sorted chemicals and fluids by type, labeled bins, and applied signs to the door to identify the freezer's new use. The freezer's original lock keeps out inquisitive children. Total cost: around $70 for 10 plastic shelf bins and safety signs.
