Sam was dissatisfied with how difficult it was to move the fence that came with his shaper. So he built his own out of an old tabiesaw fence, plus strips of 3A" plywood, with an opening for a dust-collection hose. Solid-maple feather boards Vk" thick attach to the recycled countertop with countersunk screws, and slide up and down. A turn of the fence-adjustment handle moves the whole fence forward or backward; the fence-lockdown knob locks the fence. By loosening two screws, the two countertop pieces can slide to hug the shaper cutter. Holes Sam drilled into the top of the fence house bits.
