Lay out the tools to establish the configuration of the box. Then make a full-size drawing (see pp. 72-75), make up a cut list and gather the materials you will need.
Cut the plywood parts to size and lay out and drill the holes for the swing arms and the swing-arm pivot bolts, as shown in the drawing on p. 142. Also drill for the pivot bolt and the stop dowel for the! swing-down handle. Dado the sides and ends for the bottom panel, then glue and screw these components to the four pine corner blocks. Apply glue to the dadoes, j then slide the bottom panel in place before screwing in the last end piece. Make sure that the box is square by checking its diagonal measurements, then set it aside to dry.
